This is my basic price list. All prices are based on a simple, undecorated flute with a simple, undecorated spearpoint bird.
Extra will be added to the price for hardwood, decorations and carvings. Elaborate inlay takes a lot of time to accomplish.
WOODS AVAILABLE:
Softwoods:
Eastern Cedar, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Spanish Cedar, Willow
Hardwoods:
Cherry, Maple, Lyptus, Black Walnut, Mesquite
Exotic Woods:
Ebony, Holly, Purple Heart, Babinga, Bloodwood, Zebrawood
I can get other woods- call and ask.
Note: I can't work in Cocabolo, Rosewood, or Canary wood due to the toxicity, which causes allergic reactions for me.
INLAY MATERIALS
Semi-precious stone:
Sleeping Beauty Turquoise, which I buy directly from the mine for its beautiful blue color
Other Turquoise which I get from New Mexico and Arizona
Jasper, Goldstone, Lapis Lazuli, Agate of various colors
Shell:
Paua shell and Mother of Pearl
DETAILS:
I can put glass eyes in birds, and have occasionally used cubic zirconium for this.
